This heartfelt tale is our family's own, dedicated to the memory of Heather Grace, a cherished mother and wife who tragically passed away at the age of 34 during the Covid-19 pandemic in January 2022. Left to explain her passing to his two young children, her husband struggled to find readily available information. Thankfully, with the support of family and community, he navigated the challenge, conducting extensive research on how to discuss sickness, hospitalization, and death with his children during the 41 days Heather spent hospitalized before her passing.
Our story echoes many others', prompting the author to provide a resource and list of resources for parents facing similar circumstances. Dealing with death and grief is daunting, and the author emphasizes the importance of seeking professional assistance. Schools, community centers, and local churches can offer valuable support during these times.
It is the author's earnest wish that this book offers solace and guidance to readers amid their grief. Crafted with love and with the grace of God, it extends support to all those enduring similar experiences.
