The book contains more than 100 meditations based on passages from the Old and New Testament and a prayer at the end of each reflection on the Bible passage. A special section called "After Caregiving" also addresses some of the feelings and issues that caregivers feel immediately after they are no longer caregiving for their loved one, whether due to death or other circumstances. Peace in the Storm for Caregivers is written from the author's experience, deep abiding Christian faith, and sound spiritual and theological education. It is, to date, the only devotional for caregivers that has been granted the Imprimatur, ecclesial approval that the book is free from any error in Catholic doctrine or moral teaching.
