Beschreibung
A devotional book based on letters by Ted Bubeck, a missionary to the Belgian Congo (now Democratic Republic of Congo). Using her dad's experiences, the author describes the qualities of a godly servant.
Ted and his wife were pioneer missionaries who served as evangelists and church planters from 1928 to 1960 at Moanza, Belgian Congo. After Ted's death, his daughter, Naomi, found his correspondence and excerpted impressions and stories to form the foundation for this book.
Part one gives the basis for biblical servanthood and external factors that influenced Ted. Part two includes stories and thoughts that illustrate the qualities of God's servant. Part three describes the results of being God's servant.
"Naomi has written a masterful work about her father, Theodore Bubeck, a man of God who served most of his life as a missionary in Congo as well as a pastor in the United States. It is all about what the Bible describes as a 'servant of God' and how one man, who happened to be her father, measured up. I highly recommend this book to anyone who aspires to be a servant of God." -Dave Barkey, retired pastor and former missionary to Argentina
