Li Xiaochan is about to finish her master's degree, but she finds out that she has a terminal illness. Chemotherapy still cannot prolong her life. The doctor explains to her that she only has seven days to live. Li Xiaochan is very sad and decides to leave the hospital with painkillers, to spend her last seven days with her beloved man . She goes to find the man she loves only to find out that he never really loved her. Despairing, she wants to go home and wait for death, but she meets a rich young man who has run away from home. He is deeply attracted to her, and the two of them share the same thought: they don't want to go home. So they make a promise to spend the next seven days together.
During these seven days, Li Xiaochan experienced the happiest time of her life. The rich young man took her to the department store to buy tickets, clothes, handbags and diamond jewelry, and took her to a friend's birthday party. Li Xiaochan was no longer sad, and every day was full of surprises.
However, after the rich young man's mother found out, she froze his bank account and credit cards, and he became the poorest person in the world. He didn't want to leave Li Xiaochan, so she became the one who paid for all his travel expenses. She told him that he wasn't eating delicacies from the mountains and the sea, and wasn't staying in a high-class suite, but she made sure that he was always well fed and warm. The rich young man gladly accepted.
A few days later, the rich young man really fell in love with Li Xiaochan. Li Xiaochan had originally just been a companion to play with until the end of her life, but as a result, the rich young man wanted Li Xiaochan to marry him, so Li Xiaochan had to reluctantly give up her love and leave him.
