Beschreibung

A true story spanning eight decades and four continents, told primarily through the eyes of the author herself from childhood onwards as she navigates life through revolution, war, love, addiction, betrayal, fate, displacement, grief, and finally redemption, whilst searching for her own place to belong. Narrating the story of her grandparents and parents in pre-revolution Iran before sharing her own incredible tale that begins in Bristol, UK and moves across the globe to Tehran, New Delhi, Toronto, Melbourne and finally London. Written in engaging prose that builds a captivating account of adventure, adversity, anguish and atonement, Salma’s debut novel shares the most intimate and heartfelt aspects of the human experience, veraciously told at every twist and turn.
