Beschreibung
Rudolf Steiner was born in 1861 in Kraljevic (then Austro-Hungarian Empire, now Croatia). The son of an Austrian stationmaster, he already at the age of seven associated perceptions and visions of ultra-worldly realities with the common reality principle: “that is, I distinguished beings and things ‘which are seen’ and beings and things 'which are not seen.
In 1879 Steiner began his studies in mathematics and science at the University of Vienna while also taking courses in literature, philosophy and history, dealing extensively with Goethe studies, among other things. In Weimar in 1890 he became a contributor to the Goethe and Schiller Archives (so much so that he would edit the edition of Goethe's scientific writings sponsored by this institution). Also in the same year, Nietzsche's sister suggested that Steiner take charge of the reorganization of her brother's archive and unpublished writings.
In 1891 he graduated in philosophy with a thesis on topics in gnoseology that would be published in his first book “Truth and Science” in 1892. In 1894, however, he published another celebrated paper the “Philosophy of Freedom.”
