Arsène Lupin versus Sherlock Holmes is a book by French author Maurice Leblanc, first published in 1908. This collection of two stories includes
The Blonde Lady and
The Jewish Lamp. In this second book in the Arsène Lupin series, our rogueish detective faces his most formidable adversary yet. Herlock Sholmes and his partner Wilson are called to France to investigate the case of the Blonde Lady, but their past encounter with Lupin adds an extra layer of intrigue. With a chance for revenge against Lupin, Sholmes eagerly accepts the assignment. In the previous book, Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar, there was a short story called 'Sherlock Holmes Arrives Too Late', but after protests from Arthur Conan Doyle's lawyers, the name was changed in this book to Herlock Sholmes. These stories were originally serialised in the magazine
Je Sais Tout from 1906 to 1907.
