Beschreibung

Analyze data using Qlik analytics

This book is for anyone that develops Qlik Sense or QlikView apps - either entire apps, or individual visualizations in existing apps. Developers will be helped by the numerous scripting examples, and power users will find many ways to improve their Qlik skills. All longer scripts can be downloaded from HIC's web site.

Book description

This book contains all of the HIC's previously published blog posts and white papers, ranging from descriptions of the Qlik history to solving advanced data modelling problems. It also contains several previously not published articles. The book will help you

  1. Write better code - both load scripts and expressions that define complex metrics
  2. Solve complex data modelling challenges, for example: Hierarchies, slowly changing dimensions, or multiple fact tables
  3. Optimize your apps
  4. Define calendars with bespoke time and date fields
  5. Create complex visualizations, for example bucketing or Pareto analysis
  6. Understand how the Qlik engine works internally
  7. Understand concepts specific to the Qlik engine, for example set analysis and the Aggr function
