The Buddy Sleeping in the Upper Berth tells the stories about a group of university students, who struggle for their career after graduation and work hard to realize their own values. Wu Tiantian, Jin Zi, Lao Xv and Sun Yihao are classmates in the university. Their distinctive characters, family backgrounds, life and working statues make their life widely different after graduating from the university. They often get together and become the irreplaceable force for supporting each other to march towards dreams. In one accident, however, Ge Qing is arrested and Tu Guozhu is blamed for it. Later, Wan Tangjun introduces the new institutional reform to fight for the index of foreign restaurant. However, Tu Guozhu and his two elder & younger disciples support each other in the fast changing dinning industry. Eventually, they go on different paths and become increasingly apart...
