For thousands of years, mankind has been pondering and working on the issue of education. Throughout time, we have become increasingly aware of the fact that among all civilizations on Earth, the Oriental civilization is the most ancient, with a history spanning 5,000 years. Especially noteworthy is the profound exploration of education in the East, making it the most profound in human history. However, over these 5,000 years, a fundamental issue has persisted in our education system in that it has not truly addressed the ultimate questions of happiness and fulfilment in life. It is only in today's world, where people are more attentive and concerned, that we have reached a common understanding on this matter.
In the development process of education, we have found that there are many opinions, comments, and viewpoints on education within society, and even confusion, doubts, and dissatisfaction. However, this is completely understandable because education essentially involves a huge cognitive issue related to the vast system of life! If we do not have a clear understanding of life and only hold a partial understanding of it, and then carry out education with an imagined and self-righteous educational philosophy, it may ultimately lead to regret. Throughout society, we are currently facing various challenges in education, and even tragic events resulting from educational shortcomings are not uncommon. The root cause lies in our failure to grasp the essence of education. However, education is an eternal and profound theme that is woven throughout life, influencing the lifelong happiness of a person's life. So, what kind of education is truly complete, comprehensive, and ultimate? To answer this question, we must understand the essence of life. Therefore, we need to understand life, especially the constitution of life consciousness.
What is education after all? In general, education is about providing people with a set of capabilities: the ability to perceive life, to obtain joy, and to embrace happiness. However, today, our education has not truly achieved such goals. Not only that, but we have also seen news that students from renowned universities, regarded by others as the pride of the nation, have chosen to end their lives by jumping off buildings! Although we do not know the specific reasons, they must have decided to abandon their young lives due to extreme pain, causing deep sorrow and regret among countless people.
Every tragic event presents us with a very serious issue: the belief that when we have the means to meet educational needs and conditions for universal education, the entire society will become stable, harmonious, and peaceful has proven to be incorrect. On the contrary, the more capable we are of providing universal access to educational resources and conditions, the more we discover hidden social crises, and the more severe and complex internal conflicts lurk within people's hearts. This fully illustrates a crucial point: currently, our education has not truly addressed the essence of the matter.
When reflecting on the core and essence of education through today's education situation, we can return to the original intention and fundamental principles of education to carry out various teaching activities in schools, families, and society, thereby truly achieving the purpose of education. In addition, we can draw parallels and even achieve a comprehensive understanding. Through any form of education, we can return to the essence of life and fundamentally solve the ultimate questions of happiness and fulfillment in life. For this reason, our parent-child education delves deep into the exploration and analysis of life itself, so that every reader can simultaneously engage in the process of learning and mastering the wisdom of parenting while also experiencing personal learning and growth!
