Growing up in Jamaica, folk remedies have always been a part of my life. Living with aging grandparents in the countryside taught you to appreciate the goodness of local herbs. As my grandfather, Pupa, often said, "Fever grass a di king of fevers, cerasee cure every bilious." I have grown up knowing and using simple herbal teas and tonics to treat any illness I may have had.
