After having the love of his life, up and leave him for no apparent reason at all, Smoke finds himself in an obsessive state, desperate to find her. The constant merry-go-round that he feels they are on, has him hating Elle one day and longing for her return the next. Elle is just trying to maneuver through her hectic life by running and starting anew, after all, it is what she is good at. In her mind, all she has to do is step into herself and forget about the people in her past, but that proves to be an impossible mission as her heart still beats for a Baptist. Just as Elle finds herself adjusting to her new life, she meets a handsome stranger whose smile is not only breathtaking but deceiving. Kiyan and Fancy are working to reconcile their differences so that they can raise their child together. While they work through their rocky relationship, the two are met with a person from Kiyan’s past. Uncertain about this person’s intentions, Fancy warns Kiyan, but just like a Baptist, he plays by his own rules, leading him to unveil the skeletons of is past that he may not be ready for. In the final chapter of the Baptist saga, each brother finds himself giving into the idea of love, but this isn’t a fairytale, so with the good comes the bad, and the Baptist brothers must figure out how to beat Muggs at her own game all while extinguishing the fires from their relationships.
