The senior partner of the firm received her with paternal gallantry in a paneled office, and he listened and chuckled and nodded and sighed as she outlined the case against the Council's action. Presently he pressed a button. Enter Peabody. "Peabody," Mr. Carmody said, "we'll have a court order, if you don't mind, halting development and sales north of the river. I fancy Leo. Mr. Peabody bowed with the stiffness of seventy to eighty, but left rather spryly.
